sychronized snoring

Yesterday was interesting.

My train was 20 minutes behind schedule.

I got to my dads around 3:20 and stayed till around 3:45.

My kids were super excited to leave.

We got home around 4:30 and unloaded the car.

Went to the grocery store and spent 116 bucks on lots of good groceries (saved over 50 bucks because of my club card! 99 cent a pound beef and chicken! I couldn’t pass it up!) and took them home. I also got a bunch of rice a roni (mmmm), hamburger helper, canned… stuff, and mac and cheese. I think we should be set outside of fresh produce and milk for all of May! Wheee! (though, I might want to get some steaks mid may… I only have ground beef right now and I love my red meat)

We went to pick up Baboo and Jacob ran from the car to greet him because he was so excited to see him. Baboo did not open his arms in affection though. It might be a boy thing to sorta roughhouse… but I was sad. Jacob adores Baboo.

We went home and ate the pork roast (which was yummy, but I gave the left overs to Baboo for his lunch today… so guess what i’m getting today? A CHICKEN BOWL! heall yeah! heal? whatever. So I might pass up the spicy today and get just regular teriyaki. We’ll see how I feel when lunch comes around. ha ha!

I also made broccoli chicken rice a roni.

It was $1 for each box. I might go back and get some more. I forget how easy and quick it is and its quite a delicious side dish.

then the boys went to bed and Baboo and I went the room. Some tom foolery was had.

And the night was restless. I woke up a lot and yeah…

I dunno…

*snore*

i’ll be back later with something interesting…

i know guys are different and all…but that is sad. I would’ve been almost crying if it was one of my kiddos. Damn you for talking food! My lunch isn’t for another 3.5 hours!

Aww.. that IS sad. Did it hurt Jacob’s feelings? I love all those hamburger helper stuff. It’s an easy good fix.

I think it’s a guy thing about opening up their arms. I don’t see my husband holding out his arms. Maybe if it was his baby girl, but not for our son. When my husband and I were dating he had tucked my daughter into bed…she must have been 5 or 6. She asked him if he would be her dad and he said no. He went on to tell her that he would be her friend. Talk about heartbroken. I feltso bad for her. BUT! Look at us now. They adore each other. I know how you feel but don’t let it consume you.

Hmm…ok I should say that my husband will squat down and greet the baby. I just don’t see him getting all excited like I do and throwing his arms out. Did Baboo bend down or acknowledge Jacob or anything? Did Jacob hug him? Do they hug or anything?
