Rug Rat Vice City

So I’m cooking my teriyaki chicken dish (it’s something i made up,b ut it was scrumptious) and i hear my two sons in the garage playing.  Jonathon says, "Ok, that’s Angelica over there, and you can be Tommy! I’m Phil!"

I"m thinking "Awww,t hey are playing Rugrats!"

then i hear the gunshots (fake of course) and the explosions (more fake) and the sound of something being thrown around.

I say "hey… what are you guys doing in there?"

and Jonathon says "We are playing Vice City! But we’re not cussing!"

and Jake echos "Yeah, we’re not cussing!"

If you dont’ know, Vice City is one of the versions of Grand Theft Auto. My little brother just got it and I suppose Jonathon and Jacob have been watching him play it.

I sorta sat there and didn’t know what to do. Do I stop the creative role play? Or do I let them continue the violent game….

so i said "Well…. ok… but no more bombs… and don’t kill each other"

five minutes later i hear jonathon tell jacob "Ok, die! you need to die"

and jacob makes the "eeeeebleee" death noise… you know what i mean.

Yeah… ok.

boys will be boys… right?

When I was that age, it was Ninja Turtles, and I was always stuck being Shredder and many “deaths” ensued, although no one stayed dead for longer than 20 seconds because they’re all dirty cheaters. However, to this day I have not donned a metalic suit and had any battles to the death in a parallel dimension with my nemesis, nor have I tried to unsuccessfully take over New York.

I think its normal boy stuff, no big deal, my nephew is the same way no matter how much you try to keep guns or things away thats all they want to play with! its pretty cute..hehe and i was all about the Ninja Turtles too!

that first note made me laugh till I cry. When I went to Ball State University, there was this girl on my floor who had rat teeth, so we called her Splinter LMFAO

Ninja turtles and G.I. Joe for me. The more you know… I wouldn’t worry too much. At least they’re getting along. If you’re really worried maybe make up a new game to play with them. *shrugs* *hugs and moose kisses*
