Now these are just too cool, inflatable speakers:

I don’t really care about the practical uses so much as the technology. I’m curious about how they managed to get that to work and what challenges they faced. Was the technology there all along and they just needed a cost effective way to produce it or just a reason to? Or did some other recent technology have make it possible? Will spit from inflating them adversely effect the sound? I’d like to know how it sounds too. I’m guessing it’s something like headphones where it’s clear but weak on the low end. I want to hear the sound change as it inflates too.

I am currently reading The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Only mine doesn’t look like that. I have a paperback copy that is old and falling apart. I’ve had to tape the front cover and the back cover is falling to pieces. The pages are thin and tear easily, but it’s been a good book so far. Although the Russian names took some getting used to. It took me 30 pages to realize that everyone has two names, a long and a short. Suddenly the cast of characters became manageable and started making sense. Sometimes three names: short, long and really long. I should be done with that in a few weeks. Then I’m not sure what I’ll go on to read next.

I’ll have more to post later with some pictures, but I have to go get started on draining power steering fluid.
