Work is busy. I have 9 vacation days left that I’m supposed to take by then end of year, but my boss is going to let me finagle the system to take them in January. Even then, I can only see taking up to 4 days with everything that’s going on. It might be the first year that I don’t get to take all my vacation, but I’ll survive. Actually, the first year I worked there I got screwed out of vacation time because my first two bosses were incompetent and misinformed me that I couldn’t take any the first year. My third boss straightened it out and let me take the time I’d missed.

I went to school tonight thinking I had a final to take, but found out that it’s on Thursday instead. I had myself so convinced it was today, that I never double-checked the syllabus until I got there and saw all kinds of signs that it couldn’t be tonight. I was all stressed because I couldn’t bring myself to study all weekend too. I need to get at least 40% right on the final to finish with a C, but I’d really like to learn this better. I’m going to see if my Pre-Calc professor is teaching it next semester and will let me sit in on it. I really, really, really want to thoroughly understand Calculus. I don’t know why, but I do even though this professor made it totally suck. I’m convinced it can be more fun to learn than this.

Financial Aid bailed on me. I’m only entitled to $176 next semester for reasons I still don’t understand except that if I take a summer course, I will be elligble to have my spring courses fully financed. Except without the aid in advance I can afford to pay for two courses, soooo… I dropped Calculus II and Intro to Lit to take a course I know the company can pay for – another programming course.

Ugh, more programming! I’ll bet you’re sick of it. And good luck on your final!

Good luck on your final when you have it!! I have to try for fin. aid. The first year I got it, the 2nd year I was denied for some reason. Sigh. I’m taking next semester off because I cannot afford it!

Nothing worse than psyching yourself up for a test only to find out that it’s next week. I agree…calc should be fun to learn, but it depends on your instructor’s ability to teach. My algrebra instructor was an old goat who put the class to sleep with his droning voice. Where’s the fun in that? ~
