Museum Pieces
I’ve been going through all of my old computer stuff to try to sell. No one bought it at the tag sale last week, but people kept showing up asking if I was selling anything that could run WinXP. The old stuff I have won’t even run windows 3.1 (3.0, but not 3.1 and I can’t find all of the 3.0 disks.) I worked on the laptops a bit tonight, but I can’t get the hard drive working in one. I started searching around and found a picture of one in a computer museum. No one’s going to buy this stuff, but I can’t just throw it out. It’s historical – I think that’s why I’ve kept it around. It’s a piece of me, what I started out with. They’re not the actual computers I started with, I sold those back when they were marketable and I was driven to newer and faster technology. It’s a lot of heavy equipment to haul out into another tag sale tomorrow knowing no one will buy it. It will get people to stop, but ordering a Chinese food delivery brought in a customer last time. Maybe I should see if any of it will go on that “world wide garage sale.”
Wow, and I thought I had a dinosaur with Windows95!!!
