Intro [Journal Series]

This is part of a series of entries containing entries from an old journal I started in high school. It didn’t last long, but it served its purpose. These will be followed by links to the scanned images of the original pages if you’re interested.

Note: This is a side of me I am very, very reluctant to expose because it’s just a moment in time as the last entry I posted was – it’s not who I am now. This is a snapshot of me before I began to hate people.

Feel free to skip these if you’d rather get on with more current stuff. (CJR, you’ve already read these.)

Introduction
[“Editors” Note: This is probably the longest intro I’ve ever written.]

This journal will be used to store my thoughts and ideas. It will all be written in ink so that I may not change anything without it being made apparent. Entries will be written arbitrarily since they will mainly be used to clear my mind of unwanted confusion. The first few entries may be rather lengthy since I am starting this journal a little late there is much that I have filled my mind with. All of my ideas may not be valid or maybe only partially so, but they are what I believe at the time they are written, so some entries may be appended or amended in later entries. I will also avoid the removal of any entries because although things may change and I may change any of my opinions to the complete opposite later, change is constant and my opinion might change again or return to what it was. Also, I may avoid mentioning the names of any person that I choose to include in the journal. This will be done because I do not want anything written in this journal to be used against myself or anyone else. I ask this of all who read this journal because although words may be used to clarify, the same words may, also, be used to confuse and cause pain to others. -[August 31st, 1994..17:35]

maybe i’ll see it more later, as u stated u’re not the same now, but as i’m reading this, i can definitely see you.

I love that this intro sounded so legal. Or maybe business like, as it sounded very much like a mission statement. I started my first journal my 12th grade year, and just started babbling. I notice this focus, this clear purpose, in your entries still. 🙂
