Tolkien Acrostic Poems

Poetry doesn’t come easy to me.  Writing facts is easier for me than writing fiction, so I wrote some acrostic poems for TORC.

 

The Fellowship

 

F riends they all are

E normous deeds performed throughout Middle-earth

L ight in time of darkness

L ion-hearted

O ne Ring to be destroyed by them

W anderers for good and common cause

S acrificing so much

H ail to them!

P reciouss to all free peoples

The One Ring

T rying to return to the Dark Lord Sauron

H aunts its wearers and bearers

E vil to the end

 

O minous piece of jewelry

N oxious to the mind and body

E nslaving all the Rings of Power and free-peoples

 

R efuse it at once!

I mmortaliy granted to bearer at unworthy price

N uisance to all

G ollum’s preciousss!
