Vacation rundown

So, as many of you may be aware, I spent the past couple of weeks on vacation.

A simple rundown of the past two weeks:

1. Thursday, 5-6-04 at 6:30 am, left Colorado Springs in Ivory bound for Dallas Texas by ways of Kansas and Oklahoma.

2. Thursday, 5-6-04 at roughly teatime, saw first of dead armadillos. Decided they do not truly exist in a live state.

3. Thursday, 5-7-04 at roughly 10pm Dallas time, nearly died when 50 crotch rockets flew past Ivory on I-635 distracting us and causing us to nearly end up on highway 75, via the HUGE BRIDGES OF DOOM.

4. Shortly later, arrived at my brother’s house. Thank the gods.

5. Friday, too early to be alive, was dragged to Graduate Chapel with my brother and family.

6. Saturday, my brother receives his Masters in Theology and I stand around melting in the texas heat.

7. Sunday, dragged to church at the buttcrack of dawn.

7. Sunday, lunchtime, cheesefries. MMMMM.

8. Sunday afternoon, met Pyrokinesis (and there was MUCH rejoicing.)

9. Monday, bought La Pucelle Tactics.

10. Tuesday, played La Pucelle Tactics.

11. Wenesday, visitted the house my brother is buying in Stillwater, OK and the church he will be working at.

12. Thursday, sister-in-law’s parents interrupted La Pucelle Tactics by arriving in town and buying me lunch and dinner. They are forgiven. 🙂

13. Friday, sister-in-law receives RN.

14. Friday, very late at night, ate at Uncle Julio’s. Fabulous mexican. Interesting clientele.

15. Saturday, goofed off with my brother.

16. Sunday, 5-15, flew from Texas to Orlando to begin quest to find and molest Ariel at Disneyworld.

17. Sunday, 9ish local. On a whim, we drove to Disney just in time to see closing fireworks display. Much fun.

18. Sunday, late, discovered that covered pool at rented house was freezing, but nice after heart begins to beat again.

19. Monday, early, buy park hopper pass and begin hunt for Ariel in Disneyworld. Kyaa sees Mary Poppins and swoons.

20. Monday, after climbing the Robinson’s Tree House, Kyaa takes journey through jungle by boat. Bubbles mean hippo. Hippos are mean. Note to self, remember to bring marbles next time.

21. Monday, after escaping pygmies and hippos, Kyaa decides to become a pirate, yo ho.

22. After experiencing the great joy of “Pirates of the Caribbean”, Kyaa begins to truly melt and decides to go see animatronic bears singing. 17 minutes of pure air conditioned heaven. Also, during this time, Briar Fox tosses Kyaa’s family into the briar patch. Hah hah!

23. Kyaa takes tour of Cinderella’s Castle, but decides that prices at the restaurant are a bit much and declines to make reservations.

24. Due to heat and exhaustion of running through the Magic Kingdom at breakneck speed, Kyaa and family decide to go swim at the house. Cold is a good thing at times. 🙂

25. After swimming, we head back to Disney to ride around in the monorail some and visit the hotels. Stopping at the polynesian resort, we randomly walk in on the fireworks display again, this time from the second story restaurant in the hotel.

26. Decided bed 1 was too small so slept on bed two. Much better.

27. Woke up, feet hurt bad, but valiantly pressed on.

28. Tuesday, Epcot. Did the golf-ball of doom ride, sniggering like a madman. Did the “Land” and sniggered some more. But the best one was Mexico. OMG, on the mark. Even down to the pushy salespeople. Heheheh.

29. Mission Space. Mission Space. G-forces, dizziness, craziness. I love it.

30. Lunchtime. Japanese high school group. OMG. Majorly cute. OMG. OMG.

31. Out of rides in Epcot, we took a break and came back JUST in time for fireworks. Running through the park, we stood behind the masses and had quite possibly the best spot in the park. It was fabulous. But I still say, it should have started in China, then spread to Japan, then italy, then the rest of the world… 🙂

32. Played some pool, relaxed, crashed.

33. Wenesday, Disney-MGM studios. The Tower of Terror. Aerosmith’s Rock and Roller-Coaster. Dull as hell. Dull as hell. But the 3-D muppet show rocked. 🙂 And so did Indianapolis Jones…

34. Star Tours. Kinda Dated. Got presents for the Elf. 🙂

35. Lunchtime at the Wilderness Lodge. OMG, this restaurant ruled. Thank god noone had a video camera of me running around on a toy horsie. Heh.

36. Went back to disneyworld. Rode Pirates again. Oh yes, my favorite ride. Then watched the Disney fireworks. Very good show. 🙂 Besides, it had Tinkerbell. 🙂

37. Thursday. Animal Kingdom. A zoo. At Disneyworld. Weird. Oh, this is the day we ate at Wilderness, oh well… The safari ride was fun. The Lion King show was creepy. The cheetah-girl was hot. Hahahah. Mrow.

38. Split up at the Epcot parking lot. I roamed around Epcot and allowed my feet to rest some. Visitted Japan, made a fool out of myself trying to chat up the salesgirls. Decided it was just wrong to have a snack-shop and not carry ramune. *sigh* And the tea was EXPENSIVE. $3 for oolong? No thanks.

39. Friday. Rested. Goofed off. Had my Mom check out my feet, which are all blistered and painful. 🙁 Finished two books hanging out and trying not to whine about my feet. 🙂

40. Saturday, Flew back to Texas. Orlando’s airport has uncomfortable seats for a big person. 🙁

41. Sunday, drove home from Texas by ways of Stillwater Oklahoma.

42. Monday. Wrote this up.

I failed to grope anyone over these two weeks. Darn. 🙂

Sounds like you’ve been busy! Epcot is easily my favorite park. I could’ve stayed @ Japan and Norway all day. Magic Kingdom was fun. Animal Kingdom was…well, the bug show was fun.
