Poetry: Walking

Walking
==============
Walking today,
I heard the sound
Of chirping birds.
Their poignant cries
Remind me of a child’s biting words.

Crying just the same
Longing food for their beaks,
Their destitute beckoning
Heeded by mothers of the weak.

Soon they will feast
And starvation will subside;
The cycle will begin again
Until the baby says goodbye.

Walking brought me sadness
At their frets on the wind,
But I know mother will care
And daddy will defend.

*LOL*!!!!!!! this poem is very nice. ^^ it has a lot of hert in it, and made me feel warm, but at the same time kinda sad, what would happen if mommy and daddy weren’t there to defend? ^_~ and yuesh..i too thought of the baby duckies. *( SMILES)* wanders off.

Hey, I think your work is nothing short of amazing. I wish I had a gift like you do. I read your entry on requests and if it’s not to much trouble I was wondering if you could write a poem for me. See, I am in love with this guy and he’s confused about his world. He doesn’t know what to do and he’s tricked himself to believe that he’s in love with his ex. His ex did really evil things to him…

and then she dumped him. I wish he would wake up and realize what is around him… so many people love him and he’s truly a great person. Thank you 🙂
