Violent Air

I want to scream at you
But hate can’t leave my throat.
I want to push you down
But violence, I don’t promote.

Flogging me with words,
Fighting without spears —
It’s all I can do to love you
As I have for all these years.

Writing you out of my life
Seems easier than attacking your flanks;
But even the ink of my pen
Is drawing nothing but blanks.

Draining, disintegrated
By wretching despair,
Searching for a silver lining
Through our fiery, degrading air.

interesting concept.. poems by request. i don’t know that i could do that. when i write, it’s usually just for me. if other people relate to some part of it, that’s fine. but the real meaning is somewhere far behind it, known only to me. i’d feel too pressured and.. bleh. yeah. but it’s neat that you can do it for others.

You write amazing stuff.
