A river runs through me

It isn’t conventional. Its flow twitches and jumps in sunlight and memories. It flows eastward, into and across the ocean, its ultimate destination where it becomes a part of the planet’s continuum and breath and power.

Riddled with riddles, noticing quiet things and averse to the mad noises of the city and adolescent angst at any age. Driftwood hopes rest safe in a garden. A chest of dreams beckons, saying don’t be afraid. Everything here is meant to be flying free; all the things herein make life complete. Move on toward the horizon beyond which your goal lies.

Passion has its own course, its own clear way. At times, the pull is tidal and undeniable. At times, the din and uproar and fallen trees of proximity and convenience and stress block its progress. Still it moves through and over and around all obstacles toward its destination or destiny or … Flowing like the fluids of sensual fulfillment.

And now it’s time for another cup of coffee.

Ahhhhh, very, very nice. I seem to now be back in my life’s flow once again, and, it’s a real good feeling! You seem to have grown so much this past few months C. We think as adults we are old enough to teach our kids, when, the whole of our lifetime is the actual lesson for us all. This one really rings my bell today…. Lovely. Enjoy the cawwwfewe, been up since 5:30 …I’ve already had four mugs…and it’s not even 9am yet… OMGosh, talk about addicted! Lol Love to you as always…Bren.

Yes, coffee always helps. Who is the artist of that painting? It has the coloring of a Rembrandt, but the subject has a more Ingres feeling. (I studied art history many, MANY years ago).

Is it possible for one’s river to stand still. For a time? Any amount of time? Because, I think mine is, and irony of ironies, it’s causing me to feel most decidedly unsettled. Enjoy the coffee and have a lovely day. 🙂

Lovely.

Nice writing 🙂 Pretty entry. Hugs,
