Change of pace

Nigel and Ophelia left this morning to head toward their schools. Nigel was one lost owl this morning; he really really really tried to get to sleep last night, but … well, his summer habits cursed his efforts. However, he dressed his tousled zombie self and made it out the door in time to not arrive late at his school all the way across the street.
I asked Ophelia to call me and let me know what her school situation was, as she is doing a return engagement in the ninth grade, and no one is absolutely certain she will be doing it at the same school. I have yet to hear from the dear young woman, even though she said “Okay” to my request. I am choosing to believe that she is busy adjusting to her new classmates, after all sorts of socializing with her former ones who are now a grade ahead of her. She might even be paying attention to a teacher or two, which could be helpful if she plans on getting out of this grade by the time June rolls around again.
I am at work. The Boss is taking a vacation day. Hence, thus, ergo, our bimonthly will obviously be shipped to the printer tomorrow.
I am exceedingly fuzzy of brain today. I hope other people are less so. I have my work cut out for me as after Friday I am on vacation for two weeks. How thoughtful of the elves to have cut it all out for me ahead of time.
