I love Burne-Jones. My grandmother, in her youth, was compared to his women. I have never been compared to any art. Which is a very good and real thing.
I do believe I will escape to Connecticut this weekend. I will do my best to be a considerate and helpful guest while I am there. I shall keep my bleating and braying to a minimum. I will rest and allow rest.
I believe that if I can rest and allow rest, I will evolve. I will grow. Like Nigel, I need to learn how precious the gift of silence can be.

Yes, it’s in the silence that we need to give to ourselves, we find that being inside who teaches us to grow. Hope you do get to go for your weekend and that it’s a lovely one for you. My love to you today and every day, Bren.

Enjoy Connecticut! How nice to have a little vacation.

Have a good rest. *hug* 🙂

I was just reading in a book called The Quiet Mind by White Eagle that is a favorite I keep handy. When I was reading in there about forgiveness, then read your entry, I thought of how forgiving all the outer and human errors and noise and commotion or emotions, including myself as well as others, is a way to silence of a most powerful sort. It is easier when also regularly having time in silenceof the circumstantial, thinking, and behavioral sort. May you enjoy your time in Connecticut .. and all the rest of your time, too 🙂 Hugs,

Personally I enjoy the silence and I enjoy it even more when I am with someone who also feels comfortable with, and enjoys silence. I find the connection that happens during periods of silence to be stronger than verbal connections. have a great vacation

RYN: Thanks. I have found one way I can “see” what I do better is to post it here. Also, putting something one entry back is a good way to hide it. Few folks read one entry back. LOL My problem with this is that I want the fragments….the blowing tarpaper and the bits of plastic covering the balcony handrail to convey a sense of story and contrast to the finances of our failing city. Ihaven’t got it to make that connection yet. Ah well. 🙂

Nothing like a good escape 🙂

you would always be welcome to write an entry at my diary. feel free. you have 1200 characters there after all, and feel free to use the 1200 multiple times. see, endless.
