And the beat goes on

It is Tuesday. The sun is shining at me through the clouds. I was sooooooo sleepy last night that even Nigel the Night Owl actually gave up on trying to keep me keeping him company by about 10:40. I was incapable of remaining awake at that point. For Nigel to notice, well … it had to be obvious. It was. Of course, I was awake at 5:20 this morning as E was going through his preparations to leave for work. I made an attempt to go back to sleep, but it wasn’t to be. However, at least at this point, I am not in the funk I was in late yesterday afternoon, and I expect my interactions today to be most pleasant, and not lead to such a dark place again. Dancing with wonderful friends is a marvelous cure for some of the things that ail me from time to time. As are A.A. meetings. I plan on getting to one this evening.

~~~~~~~~~~
Settle down
amid the comfort of this quiet gift
we share
Don’t be afraid
although it’s new and strange just now
you’ll find it rests easy around your soul
For all its heat
it cannot burn you with its flame
it’s a hearth fire
contained and merry in its purpose
Take a deep breath
rest your head upon its truth
simple as the earth on which you stand
~~~~~~~~~~

Something lovely.

If I can pass on what I have been taught, Don’t Think; Don’t Drink; Go to a Meeting and call your Sponsor. Sometimes I know what I must do but mentally rebel..

*passes the coffee* glad that you woke in a better frame today 🙂

I just get a case of the chronic malcontents every once in awhile. It passes if I dance and go to meetings and stuff. 🙂 I’m glad you are feeling better, little pilgrim poet. Hugs,

An A.A. meeting sounds like it would be a good thing. Glad you’re going to one tonight…and I’m glad you’re feeling better this morning. Sometimes we just need to distance ourselves from our thoughts and remember that we aren’t the center of everything, therefore we aren’t the cause of everything either. Have a great day! 🙂

I really like this one ~C, very much it seems to suit me too today. Glad you enjoyed the dancing but, please try not to stomp on Ms ~Kalestra’s dainty English toes in future. *Winks. I enjoyed the notes dancing around here at OD yesterday too, great fun! We must do it again sometime. Hugs & have a great day, A still slightly ditzy from sleeping on the couch, tired Bren.
