Sirens in my brain

They join hands
form a circle around me
begin their dance
whirling fast

Wait

I see the kernels
hearts glowing from deep within
why would anyone overlook such
perfection

Voices travel
through time and space
funny how they say things
they would never say

They’ve heard my stories
however much they wanted to hear
now they dance with my foolishness
while I stand transfixed

Old words and recent
sweet and indecent
there is blood in their motion
fire in their blood

Forgiveness was given long ago
but when the night falls
again
because it always ends the day

My voice says hush for me
as I keep my hands open
trace my jowls and stretch my arms
and wonder at the nature of each of them

There is room enough for their hands
to hold each other as they dance
lessons and four- and five-letter words
slung into their midst

Stop

I need to dig a hole
to bury every syllable
that wants to lead into shadow
take me from my rainbow

Then whoever is still dancing
circling my radical form
will entwine her soul with mine
walk on toward some salvation

I simply adore the poetic world thoroughly, as for I am a poet myself… Ode Of Autumn– A gentle face before the cold, Her breeze forgotten after time, Able soul, with colourfull shrine; With bold resistance to the freeze. I welcome you with love; Your arms grasping my soul, Time slipping back a toll, Your thick of rains kissing my face. Yellow stained skies have surrendered the sun; He hides behind your roaring clouds, Summer retreiting, with Winter’s darkness abound, As you wed the lands with your presence. I welcome you; As I kiss the eve of your waking, Dark, yet bright for the taking, As I walk among the streets in Autumn’s leaves… Love

…. and no more lucky a soul could there be than she who with you entwines. Sweetest and most lovely dreams to you, Birthday girl XOX Love,

Wow… amazing.

I’m stunned by this prose poem, honestly. It’s amazing and magnificent. Let the twirling dancer dance on. She’s dancing to her own tune, smiles.
