Whittery bit from yesterday

E isn’t feeling very well, but still told me to go and have a good time. He had N meet him yesterday to get him the last few blocks to home. Actually, he asked Ophelia, she being taller and two and a half years older, but she just said “I’ll go get N for you.” Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I whittered about the guy on the train yesterday. As some parts of my life are currently confusing and challenging me, I must say, he is really, well, what the whittery bit says. Not a great whittery bit, but it says what I mean, which is good.

My best friend

He is the most consistent
wind beneath my wings
always wanting the best
for me
of me

Perhaps because of my soul’s needs
some might say this marriage
was a mistake
but I know
there are no coincidences

Two new people came of it
two more in us
revealed as only we
could bring from each other
God given and blessed

As I travel
in a rainbow less sanctioned
free of privilege and its cruel shackles
he will always be
my touchstone and confidant

Unconditional
after all
is
as we and some others know
exactly that

Edit and pause: I pressed Save too soon! So now I shall wait and press it again at 10:30 a.m. by the lower right corner clock.

I have showered. Feeling much better for it. Soon I shall get more coffee. Eventually I might get out of my lounging attire and into real clothes. I shall also make up my face so as to be a less frightening vision for K’s friends when they come over.

Waiting for it … two minutes … (a minute seems incredibly long when watching the clock in the lower right corner) … one minute (finally) … and … Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

I love that! i believe it’s possible to create a completely new type of love. it’s what Mr. B and I appear to be doing (did I mention he, er, started a diary here this morning? I think it’s so that he can note izzy mandoo, but oh, dear!!!).

and I’m sorry E’s not feeling well. 🙁

🙂 It must be very strange checking the time to hit save. I love this poem though – I guess in some way it expresses to me what S is to me too, no matter how other things may be. He is my touchstone and confident. I’m glad that you have that.
