Fleeting

Errand before work; work; errand after work. Tomorrow is a visit with my dentist and a train ride to where I want to be. Not too shabby, eh?

~~~~~~~~~~
Slow
she says
everyone moves so slow
sense supreme
while more gray spreads
in the sky
just daring to try
Petals
tight against the wind
is there movement
within those sanctuary walls
no one’s ever looking
suddenly I’m there
inconvenient and falling
all
over
myself
See you soon
I have dreams to spare
liquid lust I lock away
hard to believe
true as a breeze off the water
no one ought to see
all the way
Sometimes
I seek my own silence
offer it up as a gift
would anybody wonder
or miss one errant smithy
no so
moss and ferns mark
a dreamer’s way
Slow
tentative toe touching light
against water temperature
letting go
I still don’t know
the sequence of this courtly dance
my dreams draw all of this
to a close
