Friday is here

Yippee! Then comes two days off, then two or two and a half back in the construction zone, then four and a half to five out of it … then three in, four not … then the whole shebang is past and the brand new year awaits my attention. I am taking a mini vacation midway through January too, which is so very very wonderful; nifty even! Tonight I am going to meet up with an acquaintance and go to bingo at the GLBT Community Center in the Village of the Greenwich variety. I am not what you might call deeply interested in bingo. I am, however, interested in practicing this socializing thing I keep hearing about. My experiences so far have been rewarding. Apparently the person who calls out the letter/number thingies is a drag queen! So off I go for another experiment in social behavior.

Beauty

Besides colored skies and rolling fields
of green and gold
shall I tell you what is beautiful
to me

It is the breathing freed
on the other side of darkness
it is stroking her hair
to gently send her into sleep
the vision of her face in repose
how her eyes shine and the brows rise
in secret humor

It is in the company of friends
the sparks of warmth and laughter
in shared experience
joy arising out of pain
and in everything one does
for another
the hand reaching out

Long lost

Sometimes I wonder too
can’t always tell you about who I am
only because there is always evidence
of me not knowing much on that subject

In the cavern I seek
where night is not filled with
unnatural unfriendly light
the earth would hold my deep and necessary slumber
wherein revelations might come in dreams

Dim light of day and candles
might illuminate simple work
the labor of sustaining the vessel
as I discover its true needs
which are few

How far I was dropped so soon
just after I got here
returning so long a journey
I must rest a while

*got lost around…”two days off, then two or two and a half back in the construction zone, then four and a half to five out of it … then three in, four not…”* *laughs* I dunno about that Socializing thing…sounds a little radical to me. 😉

Gorgeous whitters and sentiments behind them. So glad you have those days off, especially the ones in January! : ) That bingo you are going to is bound to be the most fun bingo you’ll ever attend. Have a blast! Buncha TGIF Hugs & Smiles

Awwwwwww, I want to come play Drag Queen Bingo with you!!!! Can’t wait to here about it. And thank you for your sweet note.

“Sometimes I wonder too can’t always tell you about who I am only because there is always evidence of me not knowing much on that subject” These are endearing. Do you just rattle these off? How long does it take you to set these words in place?

And even bingo sounds good. *S*

You share this journey with truth and imagination. Always writing beautiful poems from the heart and soul of who you are. Warm Hugs sweet one.

Have a glorious time! Nice whitters!

Gay people play bingo!?!? Who knew?

I have visited your beautiful diary on many occasions. I recognize several of your noters. I wanted to thank you for your note it surprised me as most times no one notices those who stand against the wall trying not to be seen. I often admire those who can write poetry. Many of you here leave me speechless when I read you. I think that is why I remain. (c)

Even when things seem darkest so many lights shine from those who are here. So many beautiful souls in one place.
