He’s alive again!
My husband, that is. My husband until further notice; my best friend for life.
He loves nothing more than a good massage. His best friend (before he met me of course) who, incidentally, was also a gay woman (see a pattern here?) was a massage therapist of the shiatsu variety. What with them having almost a sibling relationship, she would treat him to massage sometimes as a gift. She was very spiritual in her approach to massage; lit candles, I’m not sure what all went into her preparation and execution, but I do know that she moved away from NYC about 10 years ago, and the poor man has been looking for a comparable massage experience ever since. I know it’s been hard as there was a level of closeness and trust there that one just doesn’t happen upon every day.
Well, I am really happy to report that he has found someone who fits the bill! (Okay, I don’t think she’s a gay woman, and I’m not ready to give up my best friend status, but as a massage giver this woman is clearly a blessing to him.) He came home from his first visit with her, and it was absolutely gorgeous to see; his eyes were lit up, he was glowing! He was feeling so good about himself and about life. We sat down and had a really good talk.
My revelations really took a toll on this very special, very wonderful man. I really threw his world off its foundations. I am so grateful to this young (28!) woman for the wonderful things she is doing for E and his self-esteem. Angels come to us in so many ways, don’t they?
Right … now I’ve got to get some work done, and then alternate work with packing. We are moving our office over this coming weekend. I am really feeling all sorts of stuff; and I need to stay focused and sane (shhhhh) while we pass through this odd time. I have issues with change; any change. And when it’s a change in which I have no say, and that doesn’t make me happy … well, harumph!
Tis marvelous to find angels among us.

I think I got left behind here. Why did you have to hurt your best friend. I read all your entries and know nothing……its mush brain me here. Maybe I need to just keep on reading and ignore things i don’t understand….that’s it.

Well, some really good change and some of that other sort of bothersome type of change too. Fill those boxes, gal! You can do it! (It will be over soon and all will adjust) Comforting Hugs (((Me Explorer)))

I am glad E. is feeling so good–as it is obviously making YOU feel good too–and that’s also important. 🙂

Change is always unsettling. Sometimes like that too when welcomed. How nice that he came home glowing. Mmm..could do with a massage. So relaxing. Being married to your best friend has pluses, you can talk things through as well as share the kids. Thanks for this (((((MeEx))))) Go well. Smiles & Hugs

RYN: I’m sorry you’re having a tough time of it, little one. We can’t be pulled together all the time. I wish we could, but that’s just not the way of being a human. Hugs,

Change of that depth is hard to adjust to at any time, Cathy. Sometimes friendship is the strongest of all relationship. Love and hugs,
