Ponderings

Yes folks. Once again it is Laundry Day. The city looks rather pretty still, the snow mostly still laying around and being white (at least in the courtyard we overlook). There is a remote chance of us going to a movie, but this is remote indeed.

It is in these hours
our nights and darkness overlapping
the wondering befalls me
are you sleeping in the predawn depths
as I listen at last
to the silence gently drawing me
toward its light entrance

Are your dreams quieter now
recent disruptions moving on
will a time come
perhaps the catalyst can provide some cure
pain caused enters the heart of its creator
etches its legacy there
defying forgiveness to soften its imprint

Double and doubly blind
I was not built for deception
and though I know now
to hold this in singular honor
through all my allotted time
there are things that cannot be undone
words branded into the chambers of your soul

So we lie at either end of night
and all I ever wanted was your peace
even at my strange chaotic worst
I come now into a new stillness
mindful of what I wish for you
turning to contemplate the candlelight
in which my answers and direction flicker

Your poem resonates profoundly. It’s beautiful and sad, at peace and remembering. Yet there is a moving on too for something. Many thanks sweet poet. Warm Hugs

It still amazes me how solid words can seem on the screen as they seem to take on a life and light of their own. I like the other ends of the night line.

Thank goodness that “recent disruptions” do move on, yes they do, eventually. Hope you can see that movie. I’m guessing which one it will be… 🙂

i love looking at the candlelight. in fact, right now i have a candle burning. i often stare at the candlelight, and yes…different thoughts and feelings come to me when i do this. aren’t candles beautiful? i can’t imagine life without them. *big hugs*

Incredible. I love this whitter.

RYN: Finds the ultimate solice amidst your arms. Sighs willingly. “So we lie at either end of night and all I ever wanted was your peace…” * a gentle knowing smile * Too gently and too knowing.
