Oh yeah, what I wrote last night

Rambling

Is my heart very heavy
or feather light

Immovable and oppressive
or barely fluttering
translucent and hazy
dense as granite

What is in this record
but the workings of the me
no one sees
just think of it
there are galaxies in each of us
hidden behind the skin

No need for masks
just go through the motions of your days
I do
none of this is visible
a better soul than I once said
I am someone
she holds heaven in her heart
I have felt it and I know

Is my love intangible
does it knock things over
does it matter enough
oh no not really
what matters is its object
its objective
someone who has built happiness
but no one knows the toll
or the soul
that of an evening
offers a soft smile
perhaps a wink to tell me
volumes

In the ennervated night
exhaustion gone to electrical
impulses
shooting static and mocking me
I wonder and want and worry
trace outlines and possibilities
will there ever be anyone
who will know what I mean
if I mean anything at all
if I matter more
than the matter I am

“will there ever be anyone who will know what I mean if I mean anything at all if I matter more than the matter I am” wow…

That’s a touching play on words at the very end….and I love the phrase, “She holds heaven in her heart.” Lovely.

quite outstanding writing…

Like that, galaxies in each of us hidden beneath the skin. A great line, wish I’d thought of that one *smiles* BTW the dream isn’t mine. The sort of poem a device to figure out another’s dream. Kind of whimsical! I’m so darned curious about her, but like the mystery too much to spoil the pleasure of being curious 😉 Hugs sweet poet

I love the whole ending of that poem.

This is dreamy, ME. I especially like the chiasmus and alliteration in the last stanza.

RYN: Since you obviously love words… http://www.chiasmus.com/welcometochiasmus.shtml

Goodnight Sweet Seeker…Tucking you in with a loving kiss. Tomorrow is another day. No reading late in bed. It’s dream time *smiles*

Hi sweets. Akira means anchor. I’m anchoring your diary with my protective Celtic thoughts. Not to mention a few spells to keep the wicked goblins from touching your lovely soul. Hooting off to the tree, with one eye open 😉 OOps! Have company. Mmmmm…a cute little barn owl..Cosy. CU tomorrow. Love & Hugs

You matter! You matter not just more. You matter the most! Big hugs : )

you matter. And this is a lovely poem!!!!

the contradictory bits at the beginning remind me of Romeo and Juliet. (i guess maybe they were pounded into my head last semester?) lovely though, as always. *smiles* hugs,

Btw, Your awesome inner beauty is showing ; ) I think she’ll forever feel your love beaming through this, once she reads, as she surely will, using eyes only to feed her heart the devotion this sings. Let it dance between you. Gather strength from how it shows the magnificence of each of your souls. Takes both loveÂ’s challenges & rewards to build dreams to reality. Smile to you both : )

I love the line “she holds heaven in her heart”. Lovely! Hugs,
