Night thoughts

What?

I have begun to do
what you would have me do
and you are feeling giddy
so am I
wondering what has made you
feel that way

Then again
I am tender in my night
in bed praying
to dream of you in exuberance
your smile that winks me into it
your laughter that lights up my heart

It is in these things that the distance
is less of a chasm
merely a pond
your waiting day is full I know
and mine must be as well
so my anticipation must hush

The sun is coming up and soon all will be revealed… I love that time as night becomes day and each new day is a surprise… or when the sun goes down and we reflect on that day that was and await a new one with anticipation.. It is 3am Monday here … I wonder what today will bring???
