Then, and then again

Knowth

This place
more time has passed
from there to here
they would cremate the dead
transport the bones to this sacred temple
feat of perfect engineering
suns and the serpentine flow of the Boyne
calendars and moons
lost the film there
and spirits beyond see decorations
carved in stone with stone
they see it all

Small and deep
where these holy places are restored
engineered in line with the sun
marking the seasons’ passage
all connected through the ages
invasions and faith
honor and souterrains
passages and nature’s generosity

~~~~~~~~~~
Full of I wonder what it might be called
there is wondering
about feelings that seem to require
a new language
or
a retrieval of words once used too easily
You will excuse me please
some small measure of tears
for joy
for amazement
and of course for a certain abrupt change
in the company I keep
I must say part of your allure is that cloak of mystery around you. You keep your readers guessing.
Wow…. Shalom,
Well, I always enjoy so much the special view of your world that we get as you poetically express your experience … but whitters from your visit to another part of the world are really grand too. Hope you get lots of rest this week to recoup and process : ) Hugs
oh whaddyaknow, songbird said pretty much the same thing.. lol hugs,
I’m as keen to have some detail as other people, time to reflect though is essential and its amazing how we keep finding more when we do that. Take your time and know your silence is respected too. Gee we don’t have to bare our souls unless we want to. A big hug
