Riding home today
Strange wind
shifting down the weather
cooler and with rain in its breath
gray glare in the late afternoon
I watch them ambling
making it the weekend because
weekends are allowed to be relaxed
so they let down their guard
Stark barren light from the sky
solid white
blocked with clouds
portents somehow of more than rain
Absorbing so much
what was that you said
never mind
the light of this hour is brazen
Soon I will close my eyes
against the odd insistent glare
and anyway night is coming
to draw its shadowed curtain over the day
That’s beautiful.

I love the pic on the front page of your diary. Where might I find some pics (and does it take a rocket scientist to attach it to front page of o d?)?

Mmmm, I can almost smell the scent that precedes a rainfall. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking. It’s been hot and dry for quite a spell around here. Hugs,
