My foolishness

How I want you to mirror my passion, to desire me as much as I desire you!

I met your son today; and a fine young man he is. How lovely that he is getting ready to go off to college.

And how I wish I could run away with you, away from children and men and everyone in the world except for you and me.

How foolish I am; how impossible my hopes when it comes to you.

And still I hope and dream; every touch, every moment together sends me into a reverie of fantastic visions and dreams.

This is the cream of love. The dregs are for another day.
