Gah!

Somehow – I have no effing idea HOW – but somehow I’ve managed to develop a nasty fucking case of ringworm. Best part?

It’s all over my damn torso! I noticed last night when I got in the shower that the water stung around my waist, so I looked and it’s all red and bumpy. What the fuck? The first glimmer of a hint that it’s there, so I grab the apple cider vinegar and some paper towel. The burn test tells me it’s not only on my waist, but right below my bra line, on my back, my stomach, right behind my arms, and my hips. And it’s fucking spreading! I don’t know what the hell to do! Obviously I washed everything that came in contact with my skin, plus bought Febreze Antimicrobial and sprayed the bejeezus out of everything that I’ve touched.

I’ve put ACV on at least four times since I noticed it… maybe five. A couple last night and three today. And it’s only burning MORE. What the fuck?

And I have no idea where it could have come from. The cats obviously haven’t been out of the house so it didn’t come from them. And the timing makes no fucking sense – it’s cold and it’s a dry climate. Not ringworm conditions by any means. And it’s pretty much everywhere but my arms and under my bra. Disgusting as the thought is, I think I might have gotten it from a new shirt. I bought a few from Target a while ago and I can only surmise that someone tried one of them on and infected a shirt that I then bought and put on without washing. Clearly a lesson for me.

I bought athlete’s foot spray AND cream so those are going on after the ACV. The spray is good because it reaches the spots on my back that I can’t. Of course, thinking about this is making me inordinately itchy, sort of the way talking about lice makes your head itch. Hopefully it’s not on my scalp – I think I’d cry.

Oh… I also bought Head & Shoulders to use as a body wash. ::sigh::

This sucks.

Sorry, but I’m way behind on reading lately. I’ll catch up eventually. Right now I’m just annoyed. I hope this is gone by the time Alan gets home!

That’s awful! I’ll never not wash a new shirt again!

Ick! Not fun! 🙁 You can also use tea tree oil – it’s a natural anti-fungal. But you’d HAVE to water it down! It’s not meant to be used by itself. Good luck! ~*Stephanie*~
