An Afternoon Quickie
Okay, so I’m pretty sure there is a virus or something or other on my wireless network because now my ancient laptop has succumbed to something very similar to what seemed to be attacking my computer. Unfortunately because I wasn’t paying attention, it had time to do its dirty work and has deleted everything on it… programs, files… everything except itself. Glad I never gave it the chance on the other computer. I’ve unplugged our internet for the moment, so it can’t kill the Playstation too.
Part of the problem with our ever-growing reliance on technology is that I made my Christmas list digital last year. And now I don’t have it because I didn’t print it out or even update my physical address book with any changes. So if you got a card last year, I’ll need your address again. If you didn’t get one last year and want one this year, I’ll need your address for the first time. So yeah. Leave me a private note.
I’m not neglecting my letters to baby. I wrote one yesterday on paper and today I bought a spiral notebook so that things don’t fall completely by the wayside. I may very well spend all day tomorrow in this business center because I feel like things are getting lost. Or maybe that I’m getting lost. Either way, I’m not happy.
I’m not either. I’m still having way more depression than is acceptable to me. Too many tears. Too little to keep my mind occupied. Right now it looks like Alan will be coming home with one of the last groups to come back, which sucks majorly. I wish he could say "Hey, my wife is pregnant and not mentally stable!" But people don’t understand that the way they understand "Sgt. B has a baby to get home to." It just makes things a lot harder.
Anyway, leave me addresses so I can send cards. The process of writing and addressing them will give me something to do. I’ve already wrapped all the Christmas presents I’ve bough so far. ::sigh::

I think Wes got us set up on a cloud network, so if one of our computer’s get a virus, we won’t lose our stuff. I don’t know from where he got the cloud (I know in my head what I’m talking about, but have no idea how to communicate it in writing), but you might want to look into it.

RYN: This movie was actually pretty approachable. The director showed the less graphic aspects and used a lot of humor to keep the subject light, but informative. I really liked her approach, actually.
