Alphabet Survey W-Z

W is for wishes.

If you had a genie, what would be the first thing you wish for? Je souhaite… I’m not really sure. Maybe to be a published author and to not have any debts or money problems anymore.

What do you wish your name was, or are you content with your name? I’ve never been particularly content with my name. I’ve never thought that it suited me. I like the name Remy. It’s funky but still pretty. And of course, Gambit and Rogue were my favorite X-Men.

What pet do you wish you had? A horse! (Horses can be pets too) I’d also like a dog.

Have you ever wished something bad onto someone? I have, but I try not to. I don’t need that kind of psychic baggage anymore.

Where do you wish you were, right now? Here is good, though I wouldn’t say no to the entire apartment suddenly being whisked to the coast where I could hear and smell the water.

Who do you wish you were with? I’m content enough on my own. Alan’s in the shower and my kitties are patrolling the house. This is fine.

X is for xylology.

Did you know that xylology is the study of wood? I do now.

Do you think you would like to be an expert of xylology? Seems a little boring, although I’m sure that kind of knowledge would be useful at times.

What is your favorite type of wood? Cedar… I love the smell. My great-grandmother’s house (later my house) had a room that was just a cedar closet for storing clothes and fur coats.

Have you ever had termites? Possibly. We had a Sentricon system that my mom put in. I can’t imagine that she would have bothered if she hadn’t seen some evidence of termite damage.

Have you ever seen a termite? Yes… this is what happens when your mother is an exterminator.

What is your favorite type of tree? Cherry or Apple. Is there anything better than fruit trees in spring?

Y is for years.

What year was your pet born? Karma was born in 2008. Aladdin was born in 2004 (I think).

What year were you born? 1983

What year will you turn 50? 2033… assuming the world doesn’t end before then. Personally, I don’t think it will.

What year did you/will you turn 18? 2001, the same year I graduated high school. That’s nearly 10 years ago!

What year was your mom born? 1952

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.1pt 0in;”>What about your dad? 1952

Z is for zootomy.

Did you know that zootomy is the dissection of animals? To be fair, it can also mean the anatomy of animals other than human beings or the comparative anatomy of animals. It does have to mean dissection.

Have you ever dissected an animal? Yes

If so, what animals have you dissected? I’ve dissected a worm, a frog, a cow’s eye, and a fetal pig.

Is there a certain animal you would dissect, if given the chance? No thanks. I narrowly missed having to dissect a cat by switching out of the Animal Science major. That was a requirement for the anatomy course.

Have you ever taken zoology? No, but I have taken Animal Science courses and Biology, of course.

Now-a-days you can ask to get a digital version of seeing an animals’ inside so you don’t have to see the real thing if you don’t like. And I’ve never met a woman exterminator! My dad’s an exterminator and runs his own business. 😉 *GIGANTIC RIDICULOUSLY HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE LOVING LOVING LOVING HUGS*

I hated having to dissect things in school. I opted out of any college courses that required dissection. I liked this survey; I will probably steal it 🙂
