Revamped

As you can see, I’ve revamped my diary. It seems that the diary-redecoration bug is sweeping the OD nation. Well, maybe it’s more like a couple of my faves have redone theirs and I felt inspired. And it gave me something to do while the Direct TV guy was here getting television all set up. Now I can glue myself to the couch and watch "NCIS" all day. WooHoo!

If you haven’t already, read the previous two entries for an original story by yours truly.

Writing is just one way I’ve been trying to occupy my time. I’ve also dug out my sketchbook and gone through magazines for poses. I also created a page on Elfwood, a sci-fi/fantasy art and fiction site that I’ve haunted occasionally for quite awhile.  I’m excited to get some feedback on my creations both artistic and literary. I also signed up for The Sketchbook Project. They send me a sketchbook that I fill and send back and it becomes part of a touring art exhibit and then permanently available for people to "read" at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.

This part Saturday Alan and I went to the Colorado Renaissance Festival, which was a lot of fun. Their rides looked like fun, although we didn’t go on them. They had camel, llama, and elephant rides, but I didn’t like how small the elephant’s corral was and when they weren’t  being led they were chained. There were some technical problems with the overall act, but it was still good. The entertainment was good. I dressed up, but Alan didn’t. Some pictures…

The festival looks like fun, although seeing elephants chained up probably would have upset me. I should go to our Renaissance festival this year; I haven’t been in years, and it’s usually a lot of fun.
