“Pop” Quiz

You all know how to play the game. I put my iPod on shuffle and post the first lines of the first ten songs I come across. You see if you know what the songs are. Sound good? Here goes…

1. "Mama Pajama rolled out of bed and she ran to the police station."

2. "Graffiti decorations under a sky of dust, a constant wave of tension on top of broken trust."

3. "Something in the way she moves attracts me like no other lover."

4. "Well if you wanted honesty that’s all you had to say."

5. "I’m just a normal boy that sank when I fell overboard, my ship would leave the country but I’d rather swim ashore."

6. "I was a daydream, quiet and unseen."

7. "Here’s to you and all your loving thoughts."

8. "All I can say is that my life is pretty plain."

9. "I never loved nobody fully, always one foot on the ground."

10. "You and I in a little toy shop buy a bag of balloons with we’ve got."

Some of them are pretty easy if you ask me.. and probably if you ask Jim, who always gets almost all of them and who I still cannot refer to, even in my head, without saying ‘Jeem’ like Shannon Elizabeth in "American Pie." ^_^ So best of luck.

Only one more full week of work, then two days, a car ride, and a wake-up before I can see Alan again. Is it wrong that right now I’m actually more excited about the time off of work? It’s not that I don’t want to see Alan, but it’s kind of a tease. For one thing, we’ll be surrounded by other soldiers when I first see him, and that’s aside from also being surrounded by his family. And he won’t be allowed to leave the base until after his graduation the following day. Then he’ll be leaving for Arizona on Saturday morning and the odds are that I won’t see him the entire time he’s out there. It’s a lot easier to travel halfway down the East Coast than 7/8 of the way across the country.

Since my real sex life is non-existent at this point, my fantasy life has kicked itself into overdrive. Of course, it just makes the absence of the reality all the more frustrating. My dreams lately seem to be bouncing around between Alan, Johnny Depp, Rosso, Zach (!), and one or two of the dads at the center. It’s made for some very interesting scenarios. ~_^ It’s also been a great inspiration to go back to the gym after a three week hiatus. When you feel sexy, you want to look sexy too. In that same vein, since I’ve lost weight I can buy really cute bras at Target again, so now I have a bunch of nice sets that didn’t cost me a fortune. Not that any of you care, since none of you will be seeing me in them. Next week I’ll be buying at least one new pair of jeans to wear when I don’t want to look like a bum in baggy pants since even the pants that were too small on me are now at least a few inches too big. Damn, I rock.

Alas, my weekend is more than half over and it feels like it’s barely started. Who said that was allowed? My goal for the week is to go to the gym every day, Monday through Friday. That way, even if I miss a day, I can make it up on Saturday and I’ll still have gone 5 times for the week. I need to get back into those good good habits if I want the weight loss to continue. And I do. Plus if I’m active all week, it excuses my weekend laziness.

Now, time to lie around the house doing nothing for the rest of the day. Yay!

~Liz

P.S. Totally random, but I really want a clove cigarette right now.
