Three On, Four Off
It hardly needs to be said that I’m very much looking forward to this coming week. Three days of work followed by four days of down time. Down time being a relative term of course. On Thursday my mom and I will be hitting the road for South Carolina, then on Friday we’re having a big family dinner with everyone down there, and Saturday is Jennifer’s wedding. And on Sunday we come home. Not terribly relaxing I suppose, but certainly entertaining. And after that it’s less than a month until Christmas and better yet, only a few weeks until Alan is home on Leave. ^_^ I can’t wait to see him!
I am having a bit of a tough time deciding which of the two dresses I bought to wear to the wedding. The first is white with a black floral pattern, bateau neckline and hits at the top of my knees. The other is brown with white polka dots, a deep V-neck and hits just below my knees. The black and white is a little more flirty and fun while the polka dot is more sexy. Both are afternoon wedding appropriate, so I’m quite conflicted. And I lost the few pounds that were making the polka dot one a little tight around the middle, so it’s very much up in the air. Maybe I’ll bring both and decide that day.
And can I just say that I have a serious crush on Matthew MacFadyen. You may know him as Mr. Darcy in the newer movie version of "Pride & Prejudice," but I recently got the BBC series "Little Dorrit" from the library and I absolutely love him. I may even rent that new (and probably inferior) version of "Pride & Prejudice" just to see him in it, although Colin Firth will always be the only real Darcy in my mind. Matthew MacFadyen, while very sexy, is just too sweet and kind looking to make a convincing Darcy. But either way, he’s incredibly adorable, and I am already seething with jealousy towards his wife, Keely Hawes. ~_^ I think he’s just more crushable because he’s very much like anyone I might have dated, rather than devastatingly and unattainably gorgeous like Johnny Depp. His face even has a certain Kevin-ish quality to it, at least when he’s not being all brooding and snobby like Darcy.
And since we’re on the subject, I’m going to admit that it’s very hard to not look at other men with Alan gone so long. But there’s nothing wrong with looking, I know. I will, however, try to reign in the crushes I have on a couple of the dads at work, namely Bruce and Mark. Hehehe… That’s what I get for going off the Pill, renewed hormones and no one around to take them out on. LOL.
Completely random entry, I know.
New schedule starts tomorrow. 8:15-5:15 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 8:45-5:45 on Tuesday and Thursday. I plan to go to the gym on those mornings. And I’ve been very good about walking nearly every day (it rained on Thursday). So go me!

P.S. Since I obviously can’t have Matthew MacFadyen, I’ll be happy to take James McAvoy. Oh wait, he’s married too. Then again, so am I! Damn! Hehehe! I do loves me some British actors (okay, McAvoy’s Scottish, but I just love all those wonderful accents!)
James McAvoy is BEAUTIFUL. *drools* 😉 *HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGS*

Yay short work weeks! And there’s nothing wrong with looking ^_~ Dads can be very appealing, I must agree, lol. I think the brown polka dot one sounds awesome! And congrats on losing weight… I think I’ve maintained mine (better than gaining)… I need to start working out again… *hugs* Happy Thanksgiving! ~*Stephanie*~
