another day
another year
is passed
is was the clock
where the hour struck midnight
almost ten hours ago
that reminded me of this day
yesterday my co-workers
treated me out to lunch
it is our ritual to do such things
tonight it was seafood with my family
maybe the last airbender tomorrow
with my cousin coming back from his trip
and this weekend
its still not over
again
with our so-called tradition
with me picking up the tab
at my favorite japanese restaurant
i dont mind this way because
i rather pay for dinner knowing that people
would enjoy this day
than someone else pay
and me not having a good time
so
it was a long day today
and with a few hours to go
its time to end the night
like blowing out the candles
on my birthday cake
