twin candles

one pair of faces
one pair of smiles
it’s my twin niece & nephew getting wired on
strawberry lemonade & their chocolate sundaes.

we’ve celebrated their 4th birthday with everybody else last saturday
but today is their actual birthday
so we went out for a small dinner to celebrate again.
their spoiled as heck.

i’ve tried a burnin’ love burger
but what’s burnin’ now…is my stomach
never again i say

earlier tonight…
i was tying a balloon on my nephew’s hand
and that was the only time he sat still
for more than five seconds
that’s when i whispered to him
happy birthday buddy
and don’t grow too fast without me.
