Can’t pry me out of here….

…and can’t take time to write much right now either.

As requested, here are studio photos. The photos don’t illustrate the comfortable “feel” of this place, the handy working spaces, the light during the day and the coziness at night. But know that it is my little slice of heaven!

This is my drawing and clay area. I made a side table out of an old game board. (And the bowl on the table holds a box of dark chocolate truffles. Not for long, of course.)

My sewing corner…..(I will eventually be making full-length curtains to cover all the supply shelves. I’ve got some great retro curtains that will be great.)

My relax and watch a movie/Grey’s anatomy/Project Runway while I roll clay corner…….

My computer corner…..curtains (eventually) here too. To the right is a door that leads outside to the back patio.

..and a detail of sock monkey with hatpins, being comforted by a normal non-sock monkey and friends.

And now I need to get back to play work! (I am making little birdhouse ornaments!)

What a lovely place to do what you love. 🙂

I want to buy some of these for Christmas! Can I?

Wow! What a great space!! And I love the little birdhouse ornaments.

Clay is so awesome…and you do such lovely work with it. Nice to see you in these parts again. Happy Crafting!!

So many interesting items to look at – such a magical space. I like the game board table, and everything else. Is that a Miss Piggy portrait I see under the sock monkey and friends?

Those ornaments are really cute !! You have a great studio !!

What a wonderful room! It looks like…a playroom for grownups! 🙂 I *love* those little birdhouses. They’re gorgeous!!!

adorable! the whole thing. and goodness, it’s jam packed in there, you most definitely needed ALL of that space. good for you for making that space for you and your businesses. the little birdhouses are adorable. fabian adores them and wants to see the little birdies in them. teehee. just to give them a little kiss. oh this reminds me, i had this little running ‘joke’ that fabian and lily love birdies outside the window and oh they just want to give them a little kiss. well once i said this out loud (slipped out) to the twins and next thing i know, it was repeated to their mom who knew what that *really* meant. haha. she said, ‘oh really?’ heh.

Wow. it’s perfect. I MUST create a space that feels as wonderful as yours looks. thank you thank you for your note. I’m a crooked one today. 🙂 But I’ll be better tomorrow when I dive into some projects and stop feeling like a big ol’ grump.

Simply wonderful!!! : )

I can see why you needed your own space and now you have your own studio…looks wonderful and lots of room to create!

October 16, 2006

What a wonderful space. It looks well used and loved. LOVE the clay birdhouse ornaments!! You should make those to sell! I would buy one.

October 16, 2006

…f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s.!!! You must be in hog heaven! 🙂 Just out of curiousity…how long does it take you to make one of those ornaments from start to finish? I know you do them in stages so if that’s not possible to answer…how about…a tray of ornaments!

October 16, 2006

Absolutely fabulous! I cannot believe how organized you are with so many projects going on at the same time. Love,

Oooooh, you DO have your own slice of heaven!!! Wow, I am so glad for you 😀 I can feel it. You have so long deserved this. I hope it keeps feeling wonderful so you will. Hugs,

Just went back and looked at this again… I so adore picture entries, especially of cherished rooms and spaces. I missed the truffle bowl the first time….don’t know how THAT happened…LOL! PS…how do you get the hearts and added things to stay on permanently? We (my art kids and I) have trouble with breakage a bit. Maybe glue would be better on some parts….like monster arms, etc.

Now that’s more like it! You really deserve such a massive studio space for all the crafting projects and artwork that you do. Hmmmm… you’re making me think of what I should do around here…. Anyway, those little tiny birds are simply adorable, particularly the cardinal and the bluejay! If we didn’t already have more Xmas decorations than we knew what to do with, I’d beg for one of those, too! (Seems our Xmas tree bird population has lost its feathers, of late…)

Very happy for your new digs! Enjoy, creative lady!

You studio looks great. Do you ever sell your itty bitties or ornaments and such to online friends? My christmas tree is bird-themed, and those ornaments are lovely! (and of course I know this note finds you months later, so ignore if I sound crazy)
