Ready for Easter

Did I mention that I brought home the flowers that I got for Valentines Day? I did and they sat on the vanity in my bedroom larger than life. I finally had to put them to rest. Back in the day I would have kept them ~ each and every one of them. Now, most of them went into the trash. I did hang three of them but I am thinking about just throwing them out too. I don’t need a trophy to remember that he loves me. He loves me and I know that. When he stops loving me why would I still need something to tell me “he once loved you” In the trash those will go too.

Alexa accused me of lying to her. I told her that I lie for the right reasons. I lied because I did not want the girls to feel guilty about going out.

So why am I talking about stuff that happened last weekend? I don’t know either.

I am set for Easter. After work Friday I had to go out to Wal*Mart to get household items and for some reason I wandered down the Easter Candy Aisle and started throwing stuff in my cart. Seventy dollars worth the Easter candy and baskets later…yeah I am insane. In my own defense that if for 7 baskets. I always make the big boys a basket too…Derek and Dick. Then I got to my parents house (well now just my Mom’s) and we pool what we have each purchased and make baskets for the other five kids. The kids get a kick out of how crazy we get. Last year each of their baskets weighed five pounds. Can we do better this year? Although that would be a waste because I don’t think that they even eat it all. We also have an Easter egg hunt. Mom and I hide plastic eggs and most of them are filled with cash.

This year I bought two BIG plastic eggs ~ one gold and one silver. I have not decided if they will be filled with something good or if I should pull a gag on the kids. “Wow look at this big Golden egg…there has got to be something good in here.” Then they open it and find a piece of dried up cat poop or something. Hehehe! Nope, cat poop is gross so I would find something else to put in those big special eggs.

I am off to scrub the floor. Today is going to be a cleaning day even if everyone is still sleeping when I get the floor done. I don’t care!! I will vacuum.
