Stolen Jeans

It is almost 3AM and I feel like I am up for the day. Ugh I can not be up for the day but that is what happens when I go to sleep early. I was sleeping before the kids even went to bed. I remember them giving me hugs and kisses when they went but I was out of it.

I had to pick Nadine up at the school. She has cookie dough to deliver. She wanted me to pick her up in Larimore. I talked her into at least getting to Emerado. I was afraid of the hiway being icy still. So I picked her up at the school in Emerado. She does not have nearly the cookie dough to deliver as Alexa did but that is the way it goes when you are the second one soliciting sales. Different schools selling the same product just a few weeks apart.

Alexa chose to ride the bus rather than ride home with us. Nadine thought that it was because Alexa is wearing M’s pants. Ok I will deal with Alexa when she gets off the bus. I was very angry with her!

1. Alexa had asked to wear that particular pair of jeans and Nadine said no because they are M’s.

2. I have spoken to Alexa about wearing one article to school, sneaking something out of the house, and changing at school. Uncalled for!

To say the least she was in trouble with a capital T. I told her that I consider it stealing! She knew that she was not allowed to wear those jeans only because they do not belong to anyone that lives in this house.

My sister L used to do that kind of crap. Take something from home that did not belong to her and it usually did not come back until the end of the school year when she had to clean out her locker for the summer. Or she would lose a particular item ~ like a pearl earring that my aunt gave to me.

I hauled the kids to town with my paycheck from the job that I quit. I intended on cashing it and buying Alexa some jeans. The jeans that I bought at the beginning of the school year have yet to be worn and do not fit her. Alexa and Nadine have been arguing over jeans since the beginning of time. Why did I not think about that fact that Alexa has grown so much taller and of course those brand new jeans would not fit her. She is just a smidge taller than me and she is taller than Nadine. So now Alexa has three pairs of new jeans that fit her. She found a pair just like a pair that I bought her at the beginning of the school year. I think that I paid $30 for them then. I paid $5.97 for them this time! Go team! So she got three pair of jeans for under $50.

I told her that normally I would not reward her behavior with something new but I am obligated to keep clothes on her. As punishment she has to find someone at school that will fit into those brand new jeans! I don’t care who it is but someone is going to wear them!
