Tid-Bits of Goings On
Conferences ~ Parent/Teacher conferences went better than I had expected. Both Tyler and Alexa are doing fine. Tyler ~ the little creep ~ told his teacher that I had decided against having him to got Title I classes. Ah that is not so! He needs Title I for math and reading.
Arbonne party ~ Dick’s SIL invited me to her Arbonne party. Really neat products but so darn expensive. I opted not to buy anything.
Job search ~ My job search did not seem to be going too good. I did get a reply from Amtrak to go for the skills testing. I called and set that up but now I have to cancel it. I also got a “thanks but no thanks” letter from Helzberg’s.
Job ~ I have a job. I start Monday at 8:30. I have to go in 30 minutes later than they actually start because there is a big order right away that Rosco (my new boss) needs to get set up. I will be working with fiber optics cable. Not installation or anything like that. It is more like preparing it for use. I will write about it when I know more of the finer details.
Birthday party ~ Tyler had his first real birthday party. The boy is ten years old and finally gets a real party with friends and everything. All out she-bang. He had seven guests spend the night. (Remind me that no girls are allowed!) Ugh ~ yes he even had a girl that spent the night. When I printed up the invitations I did not put the sleep over on the girl’s ~ just the boy’s. One of four girls showed up for the party and she wanted to spend the night ~ but not with the boys. She annoyed me. She has “only child syndrome.” And she is snotty about it. If she does not change she is going to grow up thinking that the world owes her something. (Again, remind me next time there are no girls allowed.) I can not believe that my baby is 10!
Okay each of those were supposed to be an entry but I am so far behind I better just post something. Now I am going to bed feeling better that I have at least given tid-bits of my goings on.
Birthday Boy
A “she-bang?” Hmmm, one could that in a couple different ways. 😛 Congratulations on your new job! Way to go! 🙂
