Wednesday
I am only going to be here for a short while. I have to go to town. I have to deposit my paycheck and go grocery shopping! It seems like forever since I have done a stock-up run. Lately it has been grab what we need and go. I need ink for my printer.
Work last night was slow but the time went fast. I think that I am going to start dealing more often it seems to make the time go faster. If I start dealing more I need to train my kids to keep up on the other stuff that needs to be done ~ the stuff that I usually do. It would be good for them all to know what to do anyway in case of an emergency.
Giant is leaving. I think that tonight is his last shift! Boo-hoo! He has already started his new job. We agreed that he would work one shift per week during his notice. That way no one can say that he did not leave on good terms. I already did his termination paperwork with a note that I would re-hire him. I am going to miss him ~ happy-go-lucky attitudes are hard to find.
Speaking of work ~ I did not do the schedule! I guess I will be doing some office work today when I go to town. Schedule and checking the Kronos (computerized time clock) to be sure that all the tips were entered properly.
We used to one entry for tips because they were allocated for the pay period. Now they are allocated daily. I am no so sure that I like the daily thing ~ it does not make much different money-wise but it is more work at closing time. It is more work when I check the punches in Kronos.
I want a new job! I always want a new job!!
Since I have so much to do I better get in the shower and head to town. I really do not want to drive to town ~ gas was at $2.99 (I could just say $3.00 because it is actually $2.99 and 9/10 per gallon.) with the hear-say that it was going up another quarter. I filled up Monday when gas was cheap ~ $2.59 and 9/10! I know that the $3 is cheap. There is a picture on my AOL Welcome screen that shows $5.87! So who am I to complain?
I want a different car ~ my Crown Victoria gets around 18 miles to the gallon and that is not all that bad for a boat but I could use a little car to zip around in that gets 30-40 miles per gallon. The car would pay for itself with the money that I would save on gas. Right now I bet the price of small cars have skyrocketed! Why wouldnt they? It is again the supply and demand thing going on!
