Sunday ~ Monday

*I wrote this Turesday morning but I was unable to post it!*

While I should be in the shower I sit here and feel like writing. When I feel like writing it could get a might bit windy.

Sunday night when I drove in the yard Maxine was chasing a skunk. It was almost like she wanted to play with it. Did she think that the skunk was just another kitten? Possibly! I rolled down my window and told her “Maxine, no! That is a skunk.” Like she would understand that a skunk is to be left alone. I know that the area is populated with skunks but I am not sure what to do about it. Should one actually go skunk hunting? I could not go skunk hunting because I would not be able to hit the broad side of a barn. I have never shot a gun ~ not even a BB gun. Trapping is out of the question. Ah, maybe I will get an owl. I have been told that owls eat skunk.

Monday afternoon the neighbors across the road got a load of gravel for the driveway. I am thinking that they are tired of driving in and out of a crater ever time they leave or return home. (It is way past time for the load of gravel!) They were shoveling the gravel with snow shovels. I told Tyler that he should grab a shovel from the garage and go help them. He said “will they pay me?” I told him that I didn’t think so but they shoveled me out of a snow bank last winter. He said oh I remember that. He was more than happy to go help. So away he went with a shovel and he worked hard. I thought about paying him because I asked him to go help. They gave him $5. Doesn’t sound like much but to a nine-year-old $5 is a lot of money. He was happy.

Now I must hit the shower ~ I have very little time. I over slept my alarm!!
