Complaing About the School

I dont mean to be a huge bitch about this and there is no way to come off nice about this issue. I am not sure who is responsible but I am sure that the school knew in advance and should have informed us parents.

A little girl battled brain cancer for 20 months. She passed away the Saturday August 20. Her memorial was set for August 27 ~ which I had planned on taking my kids to. However, they had a Memorial at the school Friday.

Had I been informed of this I could have prepared my kids for it rather than sending them going to school that day oh by the way we are having Torys Memorial today then packing over 60 kids into a classroom.

Who ever wanted to get up and tell their Tory Story was allowed to do so. Having a new principal this year, he did not know Tory. Rather than seeing humor in a funny story or feeling the pain of the loss of Tory he would roll his eyes. If the kids laughed he rolled his eyes. While the kids were crying he rolled his eyes. If this was his whole attitude why didnt he leave the room? He does not know Tory as we know Tory.

After the memorial Alexa and GWs daughter L talked to Torys Grandma. She told the girls Tory did not get to live her life the way that she wanted to so you girls live your life as you think Tory would have wanted to live hers. This made the girls break down and cry. Both girls were sobbing ~ according to Mr. C ~ the sixth grade teacher.

My bitch is the communication between the school and parents. Yes the kids have their planners but they do not include things that just suddenly come up!

Another thing: Fund Raising! Last year Nadine was constantly selling something for their 8th Grade Class Trip. Not to mention all the dances that the class held. When it came time to go on the trip they went to Bismarck, not Medora like they were told all year ~ because they did not have the funds!

Okay I am done bitching about the school for today!
