Quick Catch Up
I worked New Years Day ~ the opening shift so I got off early. I came right home from work because the weather was not so good. I should say the weather was not so bad but the roads were not so good. I said a prayer or two on the six-mile stretch on the gravel road not to meet any oncoming vehicles. The road had one path and having to move over would have been disastrous ~ like getting stuck.
As I walked in the door Dick was leaving. (Okay you may have heard me cheering.) The kids and I hung out ~ played the music really loud, they played the PS2, (knowing not to let me get my sweaty little mitts on a controller) and just hung out. It was nice.

I crashed around 1:30 ~ early for me but I was informed the next day that the girls were up until after 5. I could not figure out why they were still sleeping at 2 in the afternoon. I finally went into the bedroom to bug them a little bit. I asked if they were glad that I am not a naughty mom and wake them at the break of day for no reason. Mhuh! Yep they are glad, trying to look at me through their sleepy eyes. Alexa went back to sleep. Nadine was up looking for her post that fell out of her nose. I think that she should let it close and we can have it pierced again ~ straight rather than slanted the way that it is.
Dick came home sometime in the afternoon. I was napping so that I would have some energy to go play bingo. I did not win but I did not spend much money either. I was in no mood to play pull-tabs and that is a good thing.

I had the opening shift again. I was supposed to bank too but I turned off my alarm ~ both of them and I even went back to sleep after a deliberate wake-up call. I called Cocky and he went banking for me. The roads are still icy but the snow has been removed. You would think that with the sun shining that the ice would melt. Oh yeah this is the Frozen Tundra and frozen it is!
Since I opened I got done early. Early enough to go to SG and play bingo. $400 in 64 numbers. It was Toomo, V, P, and I playing. Toomo got it on the very last number so we each got $100. Do you think that we could be happy with that? Oh hell no! LetÂ’s play pull-tabs! That was nerve wrecking! We each played out $100 three times before they decided that was enough. Yeah I know ~ I could have stopped playing at any time but I am a gluten for punishment just as much as they are. Then while cars were warming we played blackjack. I made another $80 on the table ~ I came home $220 ahead of the game for the night and I tipped the gals whereas the guys did not tip a dime. No we did not make that much money but they were working! They knew that it was from just me too! Anyone and everyone in gaming know that these boys do not tip. I always make tip jokes around them too. They know that we know that they do not tip.
