Getting Prepared

It is Tuesday night and I am at home. I took a sick day. I have been battling this cold for over a damn week. Add a kink in my neck and I really feel like crap so I took the night off. Actually Curly called and offered to stay if I did not feel like coming in. I was worried that he would get over-time but actually he is short of hours this week so he is not in danger of getting over-time.

When the kids go to bed I am going to tackle my computer area and get it organized. I should take before and after pictures because it is such a mess right now and it has been a mess for so long. I just keep piling and piling stuff on top of the totes that I use for storage rather than keeping the stuff in the totes.

I do not work until Friday. I took Wednesday off so that I would have time to prepare for my Thanksgiving Feast. So far I keep thinking that I am making way too much food. But hey, holidays are for going all out. I go all out!

Can you believe that I bought a 20-pound turkey? I did I bought a 20 pound turkey. If they would have had the weight anywhere on the packaging I would not have bought one that big. I had chosen one that was bigger and decided that it was too big. I had one that was smaller and decided that it was too small so I finally decided on a mediocre sized turkey. After I paid for my groceries I looked at the receipt and discovered that my turkey is 19.82 pounds. I chose the brand that was 57cents per pound with a $25 order.
I have almost all my groceries. I did not buy Cool Whip because the new sales start tomorrow and I am hoping that it is cheaper. I am not willing to pay $1.33 for an 8-ounce container when I know that I can get it cheaper than that. I have a few other items that I need also but I can wait.

Now I am off to get a walk-through guide for Tyler. He is playing Kingdom Hearts. Nobody has played that game in almost a year. I had a guide but apparently Dick threw it out.

Well, at least you should have plenty of leftovers! Don’t know how prices are there, but I know that here sometimes you can get whipping cream cheaper than Cool Whip. Hope you have a happy turkey day!
