Quarterly Meetings Ahead

If you’d like to read about he Dru Sjodin case this is the link to the articles in the local newspaper

Lately I have written nothing but not so good stuff going on. I should find something good to write about.

Okay here is a good thing ~ Quarterly Meetings are next week and I am not afraid of my head being on the chopping block this time! It’s not me, it’s not me! *Cheering* But I do know who may be getting the axe! Two site managers from the West have already been let go. I don’t have the details and I probably never will. This time it is a site manager (DL) from the South and I know why! One of my former “kids” works down south for said site manager and he told me that the site manager runs his business during work hours. This angers the employees because (DL) is constantly on the telephone. Not only did my former “kid” complain to me about it but another employee that used to work for the bar that I work in complained to me about the same thing! Apparently they took their complaints to the Supervisor. (DL) and I have the same supervisor. We’ll just have to wait to see what happens to (DL) ~ he may just get a warning.

My neck is safe for now ~ maybe!

The one thing that I do like about my supervisor is he runs on the same time that I do. “On time is when I get there.” He knows that I am usually running late. If I don’t have my required 40 hours in the pay period he knows to take vacation hours or a holiday. I really like that because my former supervisor didn’t do that. I think that he would have but he lived West and at the time we did not have the computerized time clock. So now I am never short of hours. Supervisor knows that I go above and beyond the call of duty when necessary and then some.

Last week he gave me an extra day off because I had a boatload of hours the pay period before. I don’t really keep track so I didn’t really know that I had 16 extra hours on that paycheck. I should have worked just a few more hours ~ then my net would have been over a grand. This time it was very close to it ~ too bad that Uncle Sam seems to think that he needs so much of my paychecks.
