Birthday Party ~ Slumber Party

Let’s start from the beginning of the day! I got up quite early for staying up so late. I had planned on decorating for Alexa’s birthday party when I got home from work but she was still awake and up. I finally sent her to be around two ~ at that time I had no gumption to even start decorating so there was no surprise decorations for her. The decorations were a surprise but the house was not decorated. I sent her to the car “get the bags from the trunk.” She was shocked to see all that I bought. Originally I did not find her favorite colors so I winged it and got the blue and green that Wal*Mart did have. But I had to go to K-mart to get trash bags and paper towels for work so while I was there I looked for “her colors.” K-mart did have her colors so I got a roll of each royal blue and lime green. So I did have streamers to match the balloons, plates, napkins, and table clothplastic.

Guess who did the decorating? I told Alexa that she could decorate any way that she wanted to decorate. (Good for me because I was being lazy. Good for her because she was excited to do it.) Good all around!

We went a mile up the road and picked up L. We went about 10 miles in the other direction to pick up AH. I was trying to devise a plan that worked out the best. Alexa invited one of Nadine’s friends whom live in GF. So I dropped Alexa, L, AH, and Tyler off at home. I then went to pick up Nadine at her friend’s house, where she spent the last two nights. I took the wrong damn road! I turned too early! I called the girls to find out what road I am supposed to be on. I told them which road I was on and asked if it was the right road. Kinda. What kind of answer is that? I am either on the right road or I am not on the right road. So I told Nadine I was by the slough. Yes you are on the right road because we went for a walk and ended up by the slough. Okay.
I got to the end of the gravel road and to a highway that ran east and west. I either missed the turn or I am not on the right road. So I called the girls again! Starting to have a panic attack because I have no clue where I am supposed to be going. I was freaking out!! (Poor Nadine) Yes I did apologize to her and explained that I was not mad but I was in a state of panic. I kept telling her “I am lost, I can not find you, I don’t like feeling like I am lost.” Okay, I was yelling! I couldn’t help it!

The gals’ mother called me. I was cranky when I answered the phone! She said “why are you yelling at me? I didn’t do anything to you.” (The girls had called her.) I explained to her that I could not find her place and I was starting to panic. “Maybe somebody took your house!” We laughed! I told her where I was and she gave me directions to her house.

Now that I am about 45 minutes behind the planned schedule! Nadine and I were on our way to town to pick up A ~ not to be mistaken for AH. Dick called and asked me if I would stop and pick up a spark plug for the 4-wheeler. I told him no. I am not going that way. He said you are coming to town it is right on your way in. I said I am picking up A so I am not taking Demurs I am taking Gateway. No I am not stopping I don’t have time! He said “that’s fine.” Yes, it is fine! (I just had to get that little dig in!) Bad Lucy!
Guess which road I took in? Demurs! And guess what I did? I stopped and got that damn spark plug for the 4-wheeler. I even dropped it off at the shop even though at that time Dick was at the dentist. Had I kept my mouth shut and not been snotty I would not have been feeling guilty. I would not have had to stop just to make myself feel better.

Now I have A, dropped off the spark plug it is time to head home. I am almost home when I realize that I did not stop at Dairy Queen for Alexa’s cake. She decided that she wanted an ice cream cake. It is a good thing that even Dinkytown has a DQ! So I trucked it the three miles and got the ice cream cake.

I called home and told Alexa to start making pizzas and that we would be there shortly. They were done eating when we got home so I made a couple more pizzas ~ just Totinos ~ my favorite! So we all ate pizza then had ice cream cake! I love ice cream cake.

Just as we were all preparing to leave the FedEx gal showed up with our new cell phones! Well, I can’t just leave them in the boxes. I have to get these working! So I called to activate the phones ~ which didn’t actually take all that long ~ but the one thing that I did not think of was Dick’s cell phone is now at home. I tried to use my old phone and I was unable to. Oh well, a little while won’t hurt him and I can give him the new one when I drop Tyler off with him at the shop.

The discussed plan ~ I was dropping Tyler off at the shop!

I was on my way to town to drop Tyler off then head to the movie with the girls. Who the hell do I meet on the highway? Dick! He is on his way home! Common sense would tell you that I am only on this road because I am on my way to the shop. I hate driving Gateway and I usually do not drive Gateway ~ unless I am going to the shop!
I had to backtrack about seven miles because he was too stupid to figure out that I had Tyler with me to drop off with him!

I turned around and went back home! I pulled into the driveway, gave Dick’s new cell phone to Tyler, Tyler got out of the car, and I sped off like a bat out of hell! Just to let Dick know that I was not happy!

I couldn’t even rant and rave! I had too many kids in the car!

We still had to stop and get munchies for the movie!

All the girls picked out treats (man there was a bunch) and while checking out the cashier said “must be a movie night.” I said “no; it is not a movie night. I can not afford to take all these girls to a movie after paying for all this candy.” She knew that I was not telling the truth! She asked what movie they were going to see and they told her the truth! (What if she called the theater!?) So I told the girls to not tell the real movie that they are seeing in that situation for that reason.

They chose to see New York Minute. I was hoping that they would choose to see 10 Going On 30. That one I would have went to but instead I took the girls to the theater, paid for them to get in, bought pop and popcorn, then I left.

I just went for a ride then I went to the HL and sat in the parking lot playing with my new phone. I didn’t have my old phone with me so I couldn’t even enter the phone numbers. I am too dependent on the numbers being programmed into the phone. While just sitting there I got bored and felt like I needed a nap so I decided that I should go sit in the parking lot of the theater just in case. I did not have a nap and I did not have long to wait before the movie let out.

We came home. I fed the girls and all the kids all got a loot bag. I picked out some pretty gross stuff. That is what they had the most fun with. I thought that the mini Magic 8-balls would be the highlight. No, it was the squishy eyes, fingers, fake puke, and bugs that were the highlight. Then the kids went outside to sit by the fire. Now they areall back in the house. It is one in the morning and it is cold and damp!

I thought that they would be worn out and want to just kick back and watch a movie or something quiet! Oh no, it is facial time! Ugh! Pre-teen (and teenaged) girls! You can bet your bottom dollar that I have photos! Bribery photos for when they get older *evil laugh*

Now that they are playing Fib Finder while waiting for their facial gunk to work! Funny, funny girls!

I think that it is time for me to kick back and relax ~ especially after being so windy!
