Weekend Happenings
Saturday was another uneventful night at work although we did stay steady. No drama! It has been a while since we have had any fun drama or free entertainment.
When I got home from work Alexa had left me a note asking if I wanted to go for brunch Sunday morning because Dad wanted to go.
I knew that Dick had been drinking because he did not even stir when I tripped over the overnight bag that I still have in front of the dresser ~ I was stumbling around in the dark. Not a peep out of him! Which is good because then he had no clue what time I got home. I went for breakfast after work.
So we went for brunch then we were out most of the day shopping. We did more window shopping than anything else. Dick got the low-down on a new riding lawn mower. Why he does not buy these things off-season is beyond me! He is not a very smart shopper! But I do know that we will probably have a new mower by the end of the summer. Usually if he gets it in his head that he wants to buy something it is as good as his. Like the new 4-wheeler!
The only difference between men and boys are the size (and price) of their toys!
Oh, I am not ready to have teenage girls! We bought Nadine and Alexa an electric shaver yesterday. I dont know what made me do it but I looked at Nadines armpits. Uffda ~ that girl has pit hair! It is time for her to shave and I am afraid of letting them have razors. Electric shaver it will be ~ they now have a wet/dry electric shaver. (Do they need to use shaving gel with that?) I wasnt sure about the shaving gel but I bought it anyway.
We forgot to get cat food. Actually I did not know that Grace was out of food. I guess it doesnt take long when all the cats in the neighborhood eat out of the same bag. Dick caught the neighbors cat right inside the bag the other night. I should remind Dick that we need a cement floor in the garage before we need a new mower. Because then the cats can not keep digging holes to get in the garage.
Needing cat food I asked Dick should I go to town to get cat food and play bingo? He laughed ~ he liked the way that I strung that sentence together. Not necessarily in that order. I played two games bingo then went to Wal-Mart to get cat food. I ran into Dicks cousins ex-wife. It was great to see her again. I knew that she was being a dummy to marry him! But she got smart and divorced him so I had to congratulate her! She is way too nice to be married to such a yuck. Nadine was about six months old when he moved back up north. He and I were standing in our (mine and Dicks yard) talking. He told me how he loves this gal. How he trusts her and she trusts him. Blah, blah, blah. Then he pops out with Do you think there could be anything between you and me? Umm,,,hell no! One man in general is enough for me but one man in this family is way more than enough. But anyway, it was nice to see her! Then I drove around for a while since there was so much time between bingo sessions. I wanted to play blackjack and I had already lost $10 so I quit even though I did not want to. Not wanting to lose more money won out. So I cruised around town for a bit. Played the next two games of bingo and just hung out.
I can never remember the alias that I gave my new girl. I should think of one that I can remember. I will call her Wendi because that is an alias that she gave herself but no longer uses. (Can not use her real name ya know!)
Wendi was at the SG when I got there. I am so glad that she was there because I am such a loser that I have no friends. No, not really! I have some friends but none that I would call to go play bingo with me. Unless they lived closer! We had a blast and laughed so hard that I had a bellyache! She kept telling me by the end of the night I am going to have a six-pack from laughing, my stomach hurts so bad. Stupid fun! See I told you before and I am telling you again. This girl makes me feel like I am 16! Shes crazy and not as dumb as she would like to make you believe.
It is fun to laugh that much!
For now I am off and running like a lunatic. Its Monday ya know! Audit and banking! My life is so mundane.
Sounds like Wendi is a Godsend. It’s good to have someone to laugh with, and what a bonus to have her live nearby, and not states away! Sounds like you had a relatively good weekend!
