Cleaned My Monitor

I was going to write a day by day update but it has been long that I can not remember anything to write about. I guess I better just start from where I can remember and go from there.

That was early in the day. I got sidetracked and that is as far as I got. Now that it is after 3 AM already I will not be writing a real entry. Rather than catching up with my favorites and writing an entry I visited and spent over an hour at a different web site.

A little girl (just turned 11 Saturday) that the kids go to school with has been battling cancer. I do not recall if they found the brain tumor during Christmas vacation or if it was shortly after they returned to school after Christmas vacation.

I just found out about the web site so I decided to read the journal that her father updates. That is easier than trying to figure if the information that I do here is correct or if it has been stretched.

What a tough battle! I can not imagine going through it!

Okay I wrote that Saturday night/Sunday morning when I got home from work.

Maybe I can accomplish a catch up here!

Sunday I went crazy. I took the cover off of my monitor. I figured that something must be wrong with my monitor. No matter how I adjust it the brightness and the color just doesn’t look right. My first thought was to dust because I know how dusty my computer gets. I figured that my monitor must be pretty dusty too because it has never been dusted. When I got in there I decided that I need the canned air to clean it out which I did not have. I had to go to town to get some ~ thinking that Sam’s Club would be the perfect place to buy it. I should not be allowed in Sam’s Club! In my cart along with 2 3-packs of canned air I had a sixty count box of Bagel Bites, a jar of chocolate covered raisins, a three pound bag of Reese’s Pieces, and a 25 pound bag of cat food. What should have cost me about $20 cost me about $75 because I am such a candy freak!

I did not spend much time away from home since I had my monitor tore apart. While I was at it I decided to open my computer and clean it out too. I am getting very brave when it comes to my computer. I have started unplugging wires and such. But I wrap them with a small Post-it note telling me where each wire goes.

When put my computer back together I put a screw in the wrong place so the cover would not go back on. I even had Dick helping me. After messing around with it for a while I decided to just put the screws back in ~ thinking that it would just come together. That is when I noticed the screw in the wrong place.

I am making a list so that I can continue this in the morning. I am just too tired to write any more tonight. I am making so many typing errors that it is pathetic. It is off the land of nod for me.
