See What Happens When I Read the Newspaper
The National Weather Service in GF reported that GF broke a 53-year-old record Thursday with 38 below.
This is the same thing I told about in my first entry for tonight. See I am not the only one!
The UND aviation student from Chandler, Ariz., was told by an instructor that boiling water would freeze instantly and turn to snow in subzero conditions such as those that have gripped our area in recent days.
When the mercury dipped to 30 below this week, he and friend of Littleton, Colo., gave it a go.
They took a cup of boiling water and threw it into the air.
“It’s pretty amazing,” Nicholson said. “It kind of looked like a water fountain at first. As the droplets turned to snow, you could hear a crackling sound.
“I was laughing hysterically; I couldn’t believe it.”
Now I must try to get some sleep. I have an audit and bankking to do in a couple of hours. Ugh!
Do something for me. Go outside and blow some bubbles in the air with the kids bubble stuff…and see what happens. Would make little frozen bubble balls? Just curious. That is dang cold!!! Don’t ever get stranded out in it. Hugs, 🙂
