What a Funk

As you can see I changed my front page again. I had it set to private while I was making the mess. It has been on private for two days because I forgot to change the setting back. Not that you missed anything because I have not written an entry since the change. I have not felt like being on the computer. I did try to balance my bank statement but that was a joke!

Yep I have been in a funk again. I am not sure what the funk it is all about but I want it to go away. I know that I have been thinking about life changes that I would like to make. I feel like I have been in this “profession” too long and I want to change jobs. But then again I don’t feel that I would be a good employee. I am not responsible enough to hold a job ~ chronically tardy all the time. I’m not late just once in a while, I am late all the time! I don’t think that I would fair well in an office setting after being in the bar scene for so long. You know the “barroom attitude” that one acquires? Well I have that barroom attitude that not many would put up with.

I did get a 3-room satellite system put in my house. Now I don’t have to watch wrestling and Dick does not have to watch what I want to watch. After school there should be no fighting about who is watching what program at what time. The kids can each go to a room and be happy!

Work — I should have been on my way to town to do the banking and an audit as I sit here and type this but…here I am…sitting here and typing this. It is too late to make it to the bank so I will have to go to the office to do it.

During Christmas vacation both girls got their hair cut. Not just one hair but all of their hairs. Nadine’s hairstyle requires a blow dryer. Monday morning when Nadine was getting ready to fix her cute new style she asked me to help her. So I pulled out the blow dryer, plugged it in, and turned it on. Pop! *Thinking to myself* That was weird. A couple seconds later POP POP and smoke is rolling from the blow dryer and I could not get it shut off. I figure I blew out the switch.

Since I use the blow dryer everyday I need a blow dryer. Run out to handy-dandy Wal*Mart for a brand spankin’ new blow dryer ~ that just happened to be on sale.

I got back home from town just in time to jump in the shower to go to work. I started to get ready, plug in my brand spankin’ new blow dryer. It made a clunk, clunk sound and a whining sound. I shut off the blow dryer. What the…thinking that I am way behind times and this is how it sounds so I turned it back on. Clunk, clunk, whine. I then shut it off looked at the instruction (I could never figure out why they come with instructions anyway) “be sure to keep removable filter clean.” So I removed the filter and looked at it. One of the fan blades was not attached to the fan it was just lying inside. Ah, it is broken and it needs to go back to Wal*Mart.

Yesterday I had enough time to let my hair air-dry before I went to work. What a mess that was! But today is a different story…so here I sit waiting for my hair to dry a bit so I can at least look like I attempted to do something with this mop.

Back to Nadine’s haircut…she was only one and a half inches short of being able to donate her hair to Locks of Love. She had eight and a half inches cut off! I am sure that Alexa was pretty close to being able to donate but the salon did not even mention it. They went to different salons ~ Dick took Alexa to the place that he goes and I took Nadine to the place that she won a free hair cut ~ last spring she won bingo at the PTO School Carnival and that was among the things that she won.

Now I must post this and I will be off and running like a lunatic.
