The Weather Outside

It was a weird night at work last night. I can not even describe it. Maybe a little crankiness, a little craziness. Just plain weird.

When GW arrived at work she told me that her husband dropped her off so that she could drive me home. Since we live just a little over a mile apart we car pool a lot. She is a fearless driver so I let her drive my car home. I am a chicken ass and a horrible driver especially when it comes to icy roads. Then she informed me that her daughter is spending the night at my house. Actually she asked if I knew that her daughter was spending the night at my house and said that they told her that it was planned in advance. I try to cover for her daughter because I think that she is a little too tough on her ~ then again maybe I am not tough enough on my daughters. But I did say that I did not know that L was staying but that was fine because she is a very nice girl. I did go on to say that it might have been planned in advance with permission from Dick. Alexa may have asked him in the morning. I think that I lied to her because the plan was for Alexa and L to stay the night with A but another girl had invited herself to stay with A and she could only have one friend stay. So it worked out for all four girls. I have had as many as four girls spending the night here.

Tonight is Tyler’s turn to have a friend stay the night. Poor little guy doesn’t have friends over nearly as often as the girls.

This morning the girls went to the jamboree. GW’s husband picked up all three girls because their son is playing in the jamboree. Thank God for small favors that I did not have to actually get up and get them to the school by 7:30 AM. I am not a morning person unless it is three or four in the morning ~ when I am still awake.

Before they left they let the babies out of the kennel. We have been keeping them in the house because it is too cold to keep them in the garage now. But they have to be kenneled because they are just to crazy and poop behind the television. Damn babies! This morning was no different. Damn babies! So Tyler and I had a mess to clean up. I made him do most of it then I went behind him and did it better. Little boys just do not know how to clean up a mess like that. I try to tell the girls that if they would keep the litter box clean that the babies would use it. So I ended up cleaning the litter box today too. Let me tell you that I am none to happy about that. So I was going to put all the cats outside! I opened the door and the wind whipped it out of my hand, the door then hit the railing on the wooden set of steps, making the steps tip slightly. I did get a couple of the babies out when I opened the door and one was still on the steps. When the steps tipped the baby fell between the wooden set of steps and the wrought iron set of steps and got caught when the wooden set went back into place. I did not notice her there at first but Tyler pointed it out to me that the baby was stuck. So here I am standing in the snow in stocking feet, fighting the gale force winds, trying to release the baby. I finally was able to tip the wooden set of steps just enough to get the baby unstuck. Okay, nokitty outside ~ everykitty get back in the house! Too windy, too cold to be outside.

It is a good thing that I was not wearing the ring that I usually wear on my pointer finger of my right hand. With the way that the door flew out of my hand I am sure that had I been wearing my ring I would be missing a finger!

I am thinking about trading Grace and George for a puppy. GW has a standard poodle that just had puppies a couple of weeks ago. She is not sure what the crossbreed is but if they turn out to be non-shedders I will make the trade. She will take both Grace and George ~ they will keep the mouse population down on her farm. But being that we live so close I think that I would end up with a George, Grace, and a puppy!

Tomorrow is my Grandparent’s 62nd wedding anniversary! I made cards for their anniversary and my Grandmother’s birthday. I even made a card for my brother who will be 40 on the 15th of this month.

Now it is time for me to go take a shower and get ready for work. Blah! I do not want to go out into the cold! It is too cold and too windy today. I would rather just sit here and catch up on all my favorites and just cruise the net. But that will not pay the bills so I best get moving so that I am not late.

With your luck, George and Grace and the puppy will put out signs for “G O A’s Animal Farm & Shelter.” 🙂 – – – –

Standard poodles are the #1 breed of high intelligents. At least that is what all the books say that i have read on breeds. A friend of mine in town has one…she says Zoe is the most intelligent dog she has ever owned and is so much more human like than a dog. But they do not like to be left alone for long periods of time.

*ryn* i really like the graphic fireplace with the stockings hung and the Christmas tree standing next to it that you have posted on your snapfish accout. It would look so pretty under the welcome sigh you put on my front. when you have time feel free!! Hehe!
