Valve Stem Cover ~ Home Drama

I cleaned under the beds then I moved the beds and vacuumed. I know that washed clean clothes went into the laundry. I just hate that! I worked in there until Alexa came home from school and had her in their going through the dresser. Get rid of the stuff that neither of them wears. Put the summer clothes in a box. Put the stuff that is too small but can be given away in a different pile. She got the dresser done before Nadine got home from school. Then all hell broke loose! She just causes trouble. I wear this, I wear that yet it just keeps getting shove to the back of the drawer and I never see her wear it. I gave in again but the next time anything that does not get worn will get tossed! Either in a go-box or the trash.

That is why I wanted to get their room cleaned up. We are moving Nadine into Derek’ s room since he doesn’t come out very often any more. They need to be separated because Alexa cleans and Nadine messes up! They can be responsible for their own messes. It is not fair to Alexa to have to do it all because Nadine won’t. Reminds me of my sister Lori! Lazy!

Wednesday is picture day at school. I helped Tyler pick his clothes. I tried to find clothes that the girls might be wearing but I did not see that they had anything out. I will have to be sure to get up so I can approve of what they plan on wearing.

Like I have always said if drama is going to happen at my house it is going to happen just as I have to get to work. Today was exactly like that. I did not limit my cleaning to the girls’ room. I cleaned in Tyler’s room too.

This incident is not to make Tyler look like a perfect child or have no fault in the matter. God knows that Tyler is far from perfect.

While I was cleaning in his room I found two silver skulls with red eyes. The type of things that replace the valve stem cover of a tire. I asked Tyler where he got them he said that he had found them. Being that it was time for me to get in the shower and haul my ass to work to be on time because my Supe was already on duty, I let it go. Then Alexa told me that he did not find them that he and the boy that lives down the road (J) took them off of a car across the road. She also told me that J has the other two. This makes perfect sense. So I with my towel and washrag in my arm and the two skulls in my hand went back into Tyler’s bedroom. I must have used a voice that said “I mean business!” I told Tyler “you have one chance to tell me the truth before I go get a belt and give you a lickin’!” He told me that he and J had taken them off the car. So I called J’s mother and told her that I was taking Tyler across the street and making him return the valve stem covers and apologize. She sent J over too even though he said that he put the two skulls that he had on the deck. I told Tyler that they might call the police and he might go to jail. He knew that it was stealing because we have had many a discussions about taking stuff that does not belong to you. He told me when I asked him what it meant so he knew! I trucked Tyler (tears and all) across the road and J was already there. So I got to talk to him. I asked him who took the valve stem covers off the car. J told me that they both did. Tyler took the front ones and he took the back ones. I then asked Tyler if that was true. He said that it was true.

Since no one was home across the road I told Tyler that we will deal with it later but he will return them and he will apologize. But it still stands that if they want to call the police that I will let them and he will go to jail.

Tyler did not tell the whole truth because his friend had already threatened him. “If you tell that I was the one that did it I will hurt you.”

But Tyler did not have a chance to tell me that because I still had to take a shower and get to work. When I got out of the shower Alexa is the one that told me that Tyler told her about the threat.

And you call this a friend? I don’t!

So now I am going to tell J that he is no longer allowed in my yard until he apologizes to Tyler for the threat and if he ever lays a hand on him I will call his parents. Being as strict as his parents are I know he does not want me calling his parents.

When we first moved out here the whole family came over to visit. This was the friendliest neighbor we had. But the boys were playing out in the yard then decided to come in. I saw the dad give a look and I was like “holy crap, what was that all about?” But before I could process that whole thought both boys grabbed their caps off their heads and stuffed them under their arms. They knew that look and they knew that they had no choice but to obey that look.

I would like to send my kids to live with them to learn that discipline!
